Dad also enjoys deer stalking. Here is his favourite photo, taken on the day he got a Royal (there are 12 points on the antlers).
He has a snow suit for camouflage in winter, but we think he looks more like a member of the Taliban!
Roe deer are also on the menu. They are smaller (and easier to carry!) than red deer and Bruce is very good at finding them if they disappear into trees or long grass.
Roe deer live around forestry plantations and are a pest. Not only do they damage young trees, they also have a habit of jumping out into car lights. Dad and I have both had accidents where roe have jumped out in front of us and smashed our cars.
